NAVIGATOR RECOGNISED AS LEADING CLIMATE ACTION COMPANY.

The Navigator Company started 2023 being awarded by CDP (Disclosure Insight Action) with the highest classification for world leadership in the fight against climate change. It is the only company in Iberia (pulp and paper) to be placed on the A-list by the most important non-governmental organisation assessing the environmental performance of companies and cities.

In addition to the questionnaire on climate change, the Company submitted for the first time in 2021 its participation in CDP Forest, focusing on forest management. In the second year it was recognised in this category, rising to “A-“, meaning it is also a leader in this field. Navigator recently received approval from Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

The Company was the first in Portugal, and one of the first in the world, to set the ambitious target of achieving carbon neutrality 15 years ahead of 2050, for which it has allocated investments of over 200 M€.

The CDP rating reflects our commitment to the Navigator 2030 Agenda.
