Navigator brand introduces eco-friendly solutions in two Amoos toilet papers
Amoos unveils new sustainable paper packaging for tissue products

Amoos, the tissue products brand of The Navigator Company, has just launched two new toilet paper solutions, now offered in alternative and sustainable paper packaging — a compostable and biodegradable material.

These new products, available in six-roll packs, include Amoos Comfort, which uses Air Comfort Plus™ technology, and Amoos Naturally Soft, developed with 100% virgin fibre and no chemical bleaching, incorporating Natural Soft Fibre™ technology.

In addition to the paper packaging, these products stand out for their technological innovations. Amoos Comfort features Navigator’s Air Comfort Plus™ technology, which creates micro-cushions within the paper’s structure. This increases absorbency and comfort while maintaining the product’s characteristic softness.

Meanwhile, Amoos Naturally Soft incorporates Natural Soft Fibre™ technology, which uses virgin fibres from Eucalyptus globulus to deliver exceptional softness. The process is based on a sustainable approach that reduces water, energy, and wood consumption and avoids chemical bleaching, preserving the paper fibre’s natural colour.

Both toilet papers are three-ply and positioned in the upper-mid segment of the category, offering a superior quality experience.

With the launch of these innovative solutions, Amoos reinforces its commitment to sustainability and to creating products that care not only for consumers but also for the planet. The brand, which recently won the Five Star Award 2025 for the fourth consecutive time, as well as the Consumer Choice Award in the toilet paper category and the Product of the Year seal in the Household Paper Products category, continues to position itself as a benchmark in the market for sustainable everyday solutions.

About The Navigator Company

The Navigator Company is an integrated producer of forestry, pulp, paper, tissue, sustainable packaging solutions, and bioenergy. Its activity is anchored in state-of-the-art, globally scaled manufacturing plants, equipped with cutting-edge technology, and it is recognised worldwide as a quality reference in the sector.

Inspired by people, their quality of life, and the future of the planet, the Company is committed to creating sustainable value for its shareholders and for society as a whole, leaving future generations a better planet through natural, recyclable, and biodegradable products and solutions. These contribute to carbon sequestration, oxygen production, biodiversity protection, soil formation, and combating climate change.

Its ongoing investment in ESG performance improvement is reflected in positive external assessments by independent bodies. On 12 July 2024, Navigator was once again rated a low-risk company for investors, achieving a Sustainalytics score of 11.6, one of the world’s most reputable ESG rating agencies. Navigator ranked 1st out of 85 global companies in the Paper & Forestry cluster with the lowest ESG risk for investors. This performance earned it Sustainalytics’ “Industry ESG Top Rated Company 2025” badge and kept it within the top 5% of 15,120 companies across all sectors globally.

The raw material used by The Navigator Company is sourced exclusively from forests planted for this purpose. Every year, Navigator’s nurseries have the capacity to grow over 12 million trees. These nurseries — among the largest in Europe — produce more than 130 different species of trees and shrubs, many of which, though lacking economic viability, are funded by the Company to preserve biodiversity and ensure species continuity.

Forests managed by Navigator in Portugal hold a carbon stock equivalent to 6.2 million tonnes of CO₂, excluding soil carbon — a figure that remains stable thanks to the Company’s sustainable management model.

Navigator operates a vertically integrated forestry activity with its own research institute and is responsible for planting a large forest area in mainland Portugal (representing 1.2% of the country’s territory), which is 100% certified by the FSC®1 and PEFC2 systems.
